How to keep your mealies lively

lefty82 Nov 02, 2006 09:57 AM

Just thought I'd share a little trick I've picked up for keeping my mealworms more active in the feeding dish (and in turn, more appealing to my leos).

I simply add a small chunk of carrot to the dish. This causes a feeding frenzy of sorts, and keeps them all wiggling around. Since I use a clear glass ashtray as a feeding dish, my leos can see the movement without having to climb in. It is working for me so far.

That's a good idea. Also, (if not in a rack) if you put them directly under the light...they move around and twitch like crazy.
