STOLEN RETICS!!

bebo Nov 02, 2006 11:59 AM

We had some retics Stolen from the Texas Reptile expo in Arlington this past weekend. Along with another vendor who had boas stolen. There's a thread on it in the Boa forum as well. They were Dwarf Tigers het genetic striped. They are easily identified because of patterns, we have pics of each snake and will post them here shortly. The group taken was a 1.3(one male, three females). Anyone identifying these animals please contact us at bebomason@hotmail.com or call 214-926-3214 or 214-232-5758. Any help is greatly appreciated, and anyone with info leading to teh recovery of the animals or identification and apprehension of teh thieves will be taken care of!

could be easier to identify them if they were...

bebo Nov 02, 2006 01:36 PM

Ya think? lol

Brian, the only other clutch of these produced are basically normal in appearance, the are all drastically striped in pattern. And as I assume you know their pattern does not change, they just get bigger. Obviously we are just doing what we are able to do in our power to get the pics and info out there. We can't worry about the 'what ifs',etc. lol

man all i did is ask a simple question and you mock me... nice going!!

in my opinion you will never get those back if they werent micro-chipped... also, they look like normal (slightly abberent) striped tigers. how else would you prove those animals are yours???

sorry in advance.

bebo Nov 02, 2006 08:00 PM

I do appreciate the condolences. But don't you think if they were chipped it would have been stated? And your opinion of the appearance of the animals means to me what your opinion of many animals has in the past...not much. Think what you may, its your right

Many that read this may not understand the point behind me responding this way. But if they knew my reasons they'd understand. So how about we drop the whole thing right now. I'd rather do something constructive. And do what we can to recoup what has been taken in whatever fashion the return may be, rather than continue as this usually goes bro. So I won't respond to anymore posts by you, otherwise have a good evening bro.

BWatkins Nov 02, 2006 09:08 PM

all i was saying is that if someone comes across a pair of tigers like yours they should scan for a chip...

just trying to get the word out dog.... sorry.

Wow, a new level of low??
Everybody knows you and Jim dont get along, but to come on here and publicly mock a person after being ripped off for $1000's of dollars worth of snakes is just low class. To sit back and act like your just trying to help is just pathetic, show a little class.

we all check them regularly i'm sure, but i'll definitely check all the ones i know for the next couple months with you in mind

thewho Nov 04, 2006 07:09 PM

I'm sure they'd be smart enough to wait awhile before selling them. Or hell, maybe they plan to use them as breeding stock. Either way, without having them microchipped, it will be next to impossible to prove, even if they are found.

rottenweiler9 Nov 05, 2006 10:44 AM

Not sure where the show was held at but any chance of cameras, if it was in a hotel you might be lucky there.

I would say we need to keep an eye on the classifieds a year or so from now, if they breed them, then you can ask for the pics of the parents. Or keep your eye open at the local shows and pet stores, they may just want quick cash and the heat off.

Sorry for that, I don't know why people have to steal, work harder for things you want, freakin slackers!

tomorrow with pics, how in the world could you possibly prove that they are your snakes in a court of law?

kwickfix2001 Nov 11, 2006 07:26 AM

I personally have taken so many pics of the whole clutch, that I do not see why it would be difficult...

thewho Nov 13, 2006 11:42 AM

if all you had to base your case on was a picture, it would never make it to trial.

kwickfix2001 Nov 14, 2006 06:35 PM

Since my first post to this is gone now...

I do not recall anyone asking for legal advice, but thanks anyway...

Jason and Jim was juat wanting people to know that if any of the stolen snakes were seen in an ad to let them know. For some reason some people found the need to critisize.

I guess all of your snakes are microchiped? Probably, because all of you are perfect...

I really do not think any of you would be saying these things to anyones face, unless you were asked. It's easy to know it all, and be someone behind a pc.

I'm done for now. I'll let yall get back to being someone now...

kwickfix2001 Nov 11, 2006 07:36 AM

I guess you say this because you are so sure that they look just like every other normal tiger ever produced. I guess all of the pics that we have of each individual animal in the clutch makes no difference, because they are not microchiped...
