might be a dumb question but got to know

my male ball python is about 3 and a half years old and i was wondering i was holding hime last night while studying for my chem test that one of his spurs was missing.

will it grow back or will he be one down the rest of his life

You can call him "Lefty" (or "Righty", as the case might be) for the rest of his life. That spur won't grow back. It is normal for them to break off. They also can gradually wear down over time with use.
