Some pics of "new" snakes

Wow, it's been so long since iv'e last posted. I am now a freshmman in high school, and the workload seems to be at least triple what it was in middle school. It has also been an extremely bad year for me: my favorite teacher died, my cat died, I broke my ankle (soccer), got pneumonia for a few months, pulled hamstrings and adductors in both legs on my first practice back, while in physical therapy found out that I had a twisted spine, and to top it all off my dachshund died a week ago. His 14th birthday would have been on the 25th of October. The high point of my year has been the Raliegh Reptile Show. All right, that's enough wallowing in self-pity for right now. If youv'e read this far, thanks and here are the pics.

First my perfectly patterned butter motley male, only $25, Jasper.

Next my high white reverse okeetee girl, Kira.

And my zigzag cream het stripe, labeled motley but obviosly not, Lexie. She and Diablo will make such pretty babies, I can't wait!

That wasn't even half of them!

Good to hear a fellow "kid" (according to the parents). I am amazed at how much more work high school is; I mean in my Latin class last week I had quizzes on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, then on Thursday and Friday I had tests! That is the second time that has happened this year! Between the doctors, homework and Key Club I have almost no time for my snakes on the weekdays. I just went to the orthopedic doctor yesterday and found that my sacrum (fused vertebrae at the base of your spine) is out of line with the rest of my spine, and I will be having a MRI in a week or two to determine the severity. Worst case scenario: no more soccer or running, have rods in my back and go to pysical therapy for a very long time. I'm only 14! I shouldn't be having all these back problems for another 50 years! I mean my life is divided into just a few parts: running/soccer, school, snakes, and books, in that order mostly. I have already gained 10 pounds in the six months that I have been injured. I jogged for a few minutes this week and was huffing and puffing and I felt like my back would split open.

I'm sorry for unloading, but I woke up at 6am to go to my soccer team's tournament and it was below freezing and the players won't even acknowledge me. I have been playing on this team for five years, my mom is the manager, and my coach let me on the team without trying out because I am so experienced, for two years in a row. What does it take to be friends with these stupid high school girls? I am going to get up at 5am tomorrow to go see their other games, and I have to feed the snakes tonight and clean the rat's cages and do about 3 hours of homework and can you tell I am mad? If you are still reading I admire you greatly and I hope you will be able to forgive me for my little outburst. I assure you that this is very uncharacteristic for me. See, I already feel better, just from typing this out. Thanks and here's a pic of one of my first snakes, Astro. He is even more purpley in person, one of the prettiest anerys I have ever seen. All right, I'm done! See you later!

Did you go to the Raliegh show? Well there is this couple there every year and they don't have a banner or anything. The guy's name is Dennis (I think), but I don't remember his wife's name. (Sorry!) I got Diablo (cream) and Becky (amel stripe) from them too. I also got the reverse okeetee and the butter motley from them this year. They are really nice and have got great snakes! I plan on going this spring just to see them!

verrry nice. Whom did you get that one from? One of the best I've seen.

PLEASE post updated pics as the Reverse Okeetee grows up. Thanks.

Congrats on MANY nice new additions.

I got both her and the butter motley from a couple at the Raleigh, North Carolina show this September. See my reply to Phiber for more info. I plan on taking many pics of all of them as they grow, so no need to worry!
