That is a great looking animal. I worry about the porph group. With all the subspecies and the variability amongst the subspecies I'm afraid people are going to start mixing them up. If a guy bred a coxi to a lat or a pulchra to a nigrofasciata he could produce cool looking snakes that could easily be passed off as the latest find in Bobopopo Village, Malasia. Or even worse, an animal that only looks like one of the parent subspecies, but would not be pure. I hope that as the species representation in captivity increases people remember why we liked them in the first place, because they are beautiful animals produced by nature, and they don't need to be messed with.
By the way, I say your ads for the latacinctus. Did you get out of them?
Kayvon
I hope that doesn't happen! As of right now, I couldn't see it just because their aren't enough of them going around for people to guess and test to see what a coxi X latis would look like. Besides, latis and coxi have their own beauty...which is what you're arguing...so I just hope people wouldn't mess an already good thing up!

hey Ryan, there are not a ton of Porph keepers out there, and even fewer actual breeders. we are anxious to see success from all of our customers, especially with you way up north! : )

we are just getting STARTED with the Latis : )
as with the Pulchra, in order to get the best possible deal and situation, you often have to buy a larger group (large is relative, of course) and that makes a pair or two (or reverse trios, depending on sex ratio availability) available for sale. we still have a great group of Latis, and we have a nice starter group of the Pulchra : )

Dang! Just when I thought that I belonged to the cool guys with my O. p. laticinctus, you raise the bar!
So I guess that Klaus-Dieter Schulz has had his first succes with breeding this subspecies this year, huh?
Regards,
Bert
yeah, these are from Klaus, we have been lucky to add these new Porphs like pulchra and latis in the last year : )
