Hi, I just purchased a Ranco thermometer for my new rack system and I was wondering what the best temperature would be to set it at. This is my first time using a rack and thermometer system....if I program the ranco to say 88 degrees F, would that automatically make it 88 in the tubs (well, at least the belly as it is belly heat)? Or should I program it slightly higher? Thanks for your help.

I keep my Helix set at 92-94 depending on if it is a rack closer to the ground. I run my lower racks warmer. But this is only if you have the probe on the tape , if not the heat would just keep going trying to get the temp to 92 where ever the probe is, the tape its self could end up getting higher then 120 and creating BIG problems.
