AFT humidity levels?

begunwithaletter Nov 02, 2006 10:07 PM

I've been doing some reading online about AFT care, and I've been noticing two tracks of though when it comes to humidity. One is pretty much word-for-word the same as a generic leopard gecko caresheet, just recommending a humid hide and leaving the majority of the enclosure dry. The other recommends using something like coconut or cypress mulch as a substrate so that the ambient humidity within the enclosure stays above 50%

Is this really a matter of your personal opinions on husbandry for these guys, or is one or the other of these suggestions just a load of bull? I'm not really trusting something like coconut mulch as a substrate for terrestrial geckos...

im pretty sure you have leopard geckos right? i breed leos and fatties so just treat it the same as your leos with a humid hide. thats what i do and my guys are great.
