Definately not a normal

magicalmorphs Nov 03, 2006 02:36 AM

I "found" this awesome snake at a petstore today. It looks like a desert ghost, but I wanted some opinions. I know it doesn't look normal. It has a green tint to it and shoul;d really look great after I get a good shed out of it. The head is very pale also. I'll try taking some better pics in a few days. She ate as soon as we got her home so I didn't want to handle her much more tonight. What do you think it is????

You cannot post a photo to the forums directly from your computer's hard drive. You must first upload the photo to the internet. If you don't have a website or some kind of account (like AOL or photobucket) that allows you to upload photos to the web you can register for Kingsnakes Photo gallery (link at the top of the page).

Once you've gotten the picture uploaded you can put it in your message three ways:

Right click the image and get the properties you'll want to copy the location or URL.

1. Type or paste the URL between [ img ] [/img ] (take out all the spaces)

2. Type or paste the URL at the bottom of your message where it says "Image URL" at the bottom of the message screen.

3. If you use Kingsnakes photo gallery - you can select it from a drop down menu of the photos you have in the gallery (found on the message window). Using the CTRL key, you can select up to three photos.

Normals come in all colors and that's one of them. Nice looking normal though so she's a keeper!

I have to disagree with everyone else...I think it definately has some possibilities. I see so many posts asking if something is a morph because it has one white scale, or some slightly off color, but yours looks nicer than most. I say breed it to a simple recessive, like a Hypo or Albino, and see what you get. I would not be surprised if it produces some off color babies.

My pics show my "Tangerine" Ball, a CH female that should produce this year. She looks similar to a Pastel, but actually has aged better than most Pastels. The second pic shows the EmberBall, a morph I proved out from an odd colored female, and the third pic shows the Sulfur Ball, another morph we proved out from an odd colored female. Bottom line, breed it at least to something and figure it out, and let us know

I appreciate the encouraging words. I know there's something going on with this girl and I intend to prove her out. Think of all the proven morphs out there that started out as just "pretty normals", like the fireball!! I appreciate everyone's opinion.

Sorry, looks like a normal to me too...
