I have an old vivaruim that is quite big and has sliding glass doors, do leos escape easily from these or should I just buy a new vivaruim?

Do you have a pic? It would be alot easier to tell you. In general it's pretty hard to have a leo get loose. Especially compared to any species of snakes.
No sorry its under the stairs at the moment and it will take a lot of lifting to move it out!

As mentioned, leopard geckos (especially adults) do not easily escape cages in comparison with snakes. Depending on the size of the cage in question, you might want to keep a juvie/baby in a smaller more suitable cage and move it over to the larger cage after the animal has grown (an adult animal is much less likely to escape and can live in a cage with much higher tolerances of gaps etc without escaping).

why thankyou, I want to make sure that i get everything right if i am going to get a leo, and research is the only way
