Bolivian boa questions

saphira69 Nov 03, 2006 06:15 PM

I am considering purchasing a male Bolivian silverback Boa (B.c.amarali)
I'm wondering if anyone here has had any experience with them.
I already own a 5 foot male Ball Python and a 2 yr. old female Brazilian Rainbow Boa.
I am looking for information about size(girth) and weight that they attain and temperament if anyone knows.
I do know that these snakes are said to grow slower than some, so it would be several years before it would attain it's maximum size. But I just want to do all my research and know what I'm getting myself into before I purchase a larger snake.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Cindy

are the two most respected Bolivian breeders in the hobby. Amarali are very sensitive animals and are recommended for more advanced boa collectors. Both are very experienced breeders and either would be willing to answer any questions you may have. Here are a few pics from Bill's clutches this past season.

Hope this helps!
