From what I have been told that might be a 'rusty ball' or so they have been called. I weighed my male this morning and he is 453grams and waiting for another small rat so I may see some action from him late this season. Good luck with yours!!!

Hi Matt,
Mine should be ready late season. He is a great feeder, no hesitaions. I already have an idea of his genetics, but we shall wait and see. Good Luck, and keep us updated with yours. Maybe we can do some trading when we both produce. LOL. Cant wait.

I like it.
Looks sort've familiar though...
I might have seen another one in the classifieds...or one that looked similar.
Hope it proves out (hopefully with a super that isn't white!)

Good luck!

This pic below shows what a typical granite looks like. The other snake looks totally wacked out. This one looks normal with some black speckles. Check out Next World Exotics Hunters Guide Link to identify granites. It has many pics too. Hope this helps.

the second pic on the hunters guide looks very simmilar. Faded head, spot break on neck... To me the snake this guy has looks like an exceptional genetic granite, like the ones Amir has. Mayby a genetic granite X genetic stripe?

"yeah, eagles have feathers hanging off of them too and I don't smoke --- out of them!" PS it was a dream catcher!

allexotics101 Nov 06, 2006 12:04 PM

Pic 2 and the initially posted BP are not even similar. You can barely see it, but the original posted animal has no neck stripe, it looks more like breaks in neck pattern. The side pattern on Pic 2 is consistent with BP's, but the original posted animal has a broken side pattern. IMO its different than a granite. It may resemble it, but there is more to it than just granite.

johnavilla Nov 06, 2006 12:44 PM

have more than JUST granite but I still think it has granite. I think I see what you mean about the neck though. I've seen alot of unproven snakes with a melty kind of patern. mayby it's that and granite? I see granite. It's all really just speculation though. Awsome snake, hope it proves out.

........does it look like that "radioactive" ball in the classifieds?.........they want like $10 G or $20G or whatever.....?.......

not a normal granite.....genetically could be just granite......could act like stripey granite?........could resemble velvet ball too?........

..........breed it to a yellowbelly........and call it a "special " female...what the heck......enough of them around......but then you'd have to hide the pics ...

.......sweet snake........
