HELP baby columbian health question?

tumbslt Nov 04, 2006 12:55 AM

Hey everyone, recently I have become more and more concerned about my baby columbian's bowel movements, or lack thereof. I have had the little girl for about 3 weeks and have yet to see any evidence of a stool, or any sign of a bowel movement. I have already fed her appropriate sized mice 3 times, once every week I have had her. But still I have seen no signs that she has went to the bathroom and I am concerned. Her temps in cage are right, 80-84 cool side 90-94 hot side(basking side), and her humidity levels are at about 50-55 or so. She seems to be relatively healthy, though she seems a little more inactive than upon first arrival. Though I think the reason for this was because she was trying to feel out her surroundings and see what her habitat had to offer. Either way> I have started to wonder if she needs to see a vet or if it is normal that some boas may go less.

Please any advice would be appreciated

Thank you

Three weeks is nothing. No problems yet. If another month passes, then start to worry.

Sounds like a shed cycle is very near, just watch her for the next week or so and see what happens.I would get the humidity up at least another 10-15% during this time.Dont sweat the poo-issue,it wont be long before youll wonder if it will ever STOP!
