I think this gives a pretty good idea of just how big she really is!

SHe is a great looking snake. You can tell she is very well taken care of. She has kept her color really well.

Is how solid and muscular her build is. I have seen many a big burm before, but Bertha takes the blue ribbon on being all muscle. I need to take mine out more to romp around. The only problem is that there are SO many that I'd have to play favorites. I have plans for a huge exercise room, but have yet to get to it. I used to have a large cage with climbing branches for this purpose but ended up converting it into multiple large cages. But I really do want my burms to have this kind of structure ao I will do something soon. (it's not often that I envy others' snakes and I hate it when I do, lol) (hmmn,.. snake envy,.. interesting concept from a freudian point of view)

The fastest way to achieve great wealth is by living more poorly for much longer.

Judge me by my additude

Thanks Karen for posting this and thanks for all of the nice compliments of Big Bertha. She is indeed a fine specimen and Brian hit it on the head regarding her muscle tone; it is absolutely perfect. SOme is no doubt due to genetics, however, she gets lots of "stretch" time and being handled by many groups of people (such as my college class that I teach that is pictured) she gets a lot of opportunities to flex those muscles...strongest snake I have ever worked with! We are building a new exhibit for her that will be the creme de la creme of burmese python enclosures; can't wait to post a pic once it is done (Habitat Systems is making it).
