has anyone noticed that amount of spam emails sent in reply to ads has really went up this year? I get a number of them a day.

I will say it does make me laugh when I read them

are you talking about spam emails from ads posted on the KS classifieds? as if someone were clicking on the "contact" link from the ad directly to email you or were they emailing from outside of the classified forums as if they already had your email on file and emailing you directly?

I know i was having some major problems recently with a spam bot that seemed to somehow latch on to the abuse report link over on the insecthobbyist discussion forums.

If it is the contact link in the classified ads being hit, let me know as there might be a way for us to fix it.

in the last week already. Ive had these emails before so I waste no time in telling them off but its anoying. Usualy they come through the KS contact link. Once recently one came from another email adress that I didnt recognize. Very annoying.
