Variable pine snakes

Well that's what they should be called. That's what makes deppei jani one of my favorites. These are two 05 jani from the same clutch. Both pictures were taken today. This one is a female. Later, Randy W.

Gosh those Jani are extreamly nice.

Hey to you think that the males are nicer looking, maybe sexualy dimorphic? Are your males better looking?

noticed that the males do seem to get the best color ovreall. Males seem to get the deepest oranges but one thing I really like about the females is that some seem to get the cleanest background colors with little to no tipping. I've noticed that some I've produced show signs of these traits straight out of the egg and especially after the first couple sheds. Later, Randy

Those are beauties! Wow! Yeah, like I said in the reply to the post above, I'm beginning to think that Pits are on of the most naturally variable genuses of North American colubrids.
