Feeding problems

drapert Nov 05, 2006 09:42 AM

I purchased 25 frozen fuzzies from a reputable pet store, and neither of my banded kings will eat any of them.

I've even pulled out a purchased live mouse, rubbed the fuzzie on it's body, and tossed it in, and still nothing.

One of the kings hasn't eaten for 2 weeks now.

Is it time for a vet check? Temps in the house are warm enough that they should eat.

My Honduran turns her nose up an anything frozen/thawed, and will only eat live, but at least she's eating!

I've purchased a few mice now for raising my own fuzzies and pinkies, but it won't do much good if all they'll ever eat is live--by the time they're ready to eat again, the mice will be full grown--especially if I can't convert them to frozen/thawed anytime soon.

I suppose that I need a bit of expert help here.

Even though the temps may be warm enough in the house the problem may be seasonal. This time of year you need an undertank heating source.

If you don't already have an undetrtank heating sourse you should get one. I think this will solve the non feeding king mystery.
