Anyone here know where in Europe I can obtain SFO garters? I know the Rotterdam Zoo is breeding them and just wondered if anyone else in Europe is. Thanks.

I assume you are referring to the San Francisco Garter Snake. There are several individuals and institutions in Europe which breed the San Francisco Garter. The San Francisco Zoo did get theirs from the Netherlands. Acquisitions of these animals are done in conjunction with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Outside of their authorization this species cannot be obtained or possessed. You should start with them as they will be able to steer you in the correct direction should your institution be granted the proper authorization.
