Flavi Cross Demand

Varanids_Rock Nov 06, 2006 07:54 PM

What is the demand like for Flavi crosses (especially in comparison to red ackies)? I am thinking about purchasing the Flavi crosses advertised in the classefieds from Jason at Rare Earth. He has 2.1. I was thinking of possibly getting one of the males and the female. But, if there is not much demand for Flavi cross babies, I may just end up getting one of the males. I don't think I would have the time or space to care for that many young for a long period of time. I just figured here would be a good place to ask.

In most cases, people are advertising crosses and demanding they are pure. But from that picture, the female appears as pure V.flavirufu, as I have seen. A nice one at that.

That does not mean its not a cross, but I am the one who made the dang things and have and still do so in large numbers and I have never had a cross hatch out and appear pure. Just unlucky I guess.

Of course, the males may indeed be crosses, I did not see their pics.

By the way, what does demand have to do with it??? Worrying about demand is a far cry from getting a pair. There is a long distance between those two. Cheers

I know that getting a pair is no guarantee that I will be having hatchlings to care for. It is just that if it DID happen, I wouldn't want to have that many monitors to care for for a long period of time (like into their sub-adulthood). How long do your hatchlings usually stay in your possesion after hatching?
