Iv been snake bit do we blame the snake . I should think not. I am responcible for all interactions i have with a snake. If i lie and cause a person to think my snake is harmless the conciquinces are all my own im over 18 . WHAT A SHAME TO MISSDIRECT THE BLAME.

There's nothing wrong with respectful disagreements....we all have our own philosophies on certain subjects and nothing is black and white. It's healthy to enjoy a good heated debate every now and then - otherwise, we'd live in one very dull world. Although I do come off as a tad opinionated, it's only because I've been doing this professionally for quite a long time and due to my age (not old yet but getting there) I also have a lot of life experiences. I think we all get along rather well but we just may not all agree on what's the best way to tackle a certain problem. The blame will never go to the snake, though....the blame goes to the breeder who sold the animal to someone h/she knows was not capable and the blame also goes to the buyer who lied about his age and abilities, and, the blame can also go to the very lax systems that we have in place at the shows. There you go.

I to have done this for a living . Tho i do not now . Im just so tired of so much regulation. In my opinion the whole hobby has grown so fast that too many people are just there for the buck. Ball pythons for example. Ido agree with most of what you are saying this is what kills the hobby. BUT how do we regulate something without regulateing ourselves out of the hobby. IT is a persons duty to sell to only qualified buyers questions should be asked. If someone knows the lingo and appears compitent . Then who do we blame. I have been keeping hots for 30 years . I started at 12 i was qualified but that is rare . I would never sell a snake to a child an at that age i collected my own and my parents gave me the basement to use. IM just afraid the era of regulation is going to take all privately owned venomous snakes away from us.
