Last night I was delighted to finally find the black momma sitting with her babies, 13 in all. And not bad since it was her first litter. Some seem to be just like their mother and some are mixed and some are going to be yellow with black bands. Excited is an understatment. The father was a yellow/green phase similiar to some of the babies but lacking the black marks of course. Here is momma and babies below.

Nice little bastards! Black squamis are really beautiful and it's great that they are coming more common these days.
I'm also hoping my female drops some babies in March 2007.
