INCUBATORS Try em out now!!!

rockinreptiles2 Nov 07, 2006 01:45 PM

Today I decided to crank up the incubator and set it. Well I am glad I did. The Herpstat thermomstat I was using quit after 30 mins or so. I used it last season with good results. I have it plugged into 3 feet of 11 inch tape so I am not over doing it. Has anyone had problems with the Herpstats. I unplugged it for a while and tried it again with no luck.Do not hesitate on getting the incubators fired up and set. Things would of been worse if i had waited.

Thanks
Thomas Jones

I think herpstats have a fuse but I coould be wrong since I have never owned one. I use Helix DBS 1000's and have never had a problem. I am thinking of getting a herpstat though just to try it out. E-mail me and we can talk about this through e-mail. Thanks David

Thomas,
The original Herpstats do have a standard soldered on internal fuse. If you have no display then most likely it has failed. All other Herpstats have resettable fuses and if overloaded one just needs to unplug them for five minutes and then replug. Please contact us at sales@spyderrobotics.com and we can get your information, set up an RMA if needed, and get this quickly taken care of for you.
