Aggrssion Can be remedied...

ginevive Aug 07, 2003 06:40 AM

I adopted this BP a few months ago; after two different people returned her to the pet shop because of aggression and biting problems. True, she is extremeny head-shy, especially when being removed from the cage, but I have been handling her regularly, and she does calm down and relax after about 5 minutes. The first month or so, she was such a skittish, hissing little thing, but I am so glad I worked on her and did not give up, for now I have a great, healthy ball that cost me nothing. She's about 2.4 feet long and eats f/t mice like a champ!
On a side note, does she look a bit too "pleasantly plump?"

Yours hissed? Mine hissed, too. But, now, he's more used to my presents, and I haven't heard him hissed since. I only take him ocassionally, though, to clean the cage and sometimes I handled him very ocassionally. He eats like a champ also, this one is. I'm always into animals since I was a lad, and I can't stand the site of animals being throw away, but I supposed if it's biting, then I guess people have the right to return him. I remember the smooth hair terrier, Angle, that I use have for 16 years...she was a handful. She tears up everything in the house, but I didn't give her away, and she was the best dog I have ever had.
