A Grandmother was devastated when thieves stole the tortoise she has looked after for 60 years.
Valerie Light bought her pet Jill in 1946 for two and sixpence (121/2p).
She has offered a reward for the return of the reptile after it was stolen from a shed at her home in Manor Fields, Hampshire.
Valerie, 68, said: "She was like a member of the family. She was part of my upbringing."
