Hi everyone,
Last week when I was feeding my snakes I noticed that my BRB was going into a shed, so I didn't try to feed her. She shed monday night sometime, so I fed her yesterday. I gave her a small mouse (It had actual hair, not peach fuzz--Hopper?). It made a lump in her body, but not much larger than the largest part of her body.
Today I had taken her out of her cage to do some cleaning in it. When I put her back in, I put her on one side then I was smoothing down some substrate on the other side of the tank (20gal long). She caught my movement and started towards me. A short time later I moved my hand fairly close to her for some reason and her head moved really quickly, following my hand.
I take this as a sign that she's hungry. I have been feeding about every 5 to 7 days. It has been about 10 days between the feeding on monday and the one before. If she is showing signs that she is hungry, should she be fed again? I'm thinking she should be fed. Should I give her another hopper say tonight or tomorrow morning then go back to reg shedule for feeding? Or should I maybe wait one more day, then feed her?
Thanks for your help
Rob
