Low band count pyro. My guess is that it was produced by Randy Wright.

bluerosy Nov 08, 2006 04:47 PM

Bingo. A low band pyro.

Kingaz guessed it...or did he..?

King how did you know. Have you seen this snake at Randy Wrights place?

kingaz Nov 08, 2006 06:47 PM

I saw the pic a while back. I think Jeff Teel posted it here or on another site. I have not met Randy, but I once owned a pyro he produced. I have seen some really huge pyros of his, and some really low band count ones.

Thats my pic and Jeff Teel does not have a low band count pyro. This one has 19 bands. The lowest band count he has is 30. The lowest band count cherry head he has is 39 bands. I got this from his pics on his website.

This one has 19 bands AND is a cherry head. Very unusual.

Jeff didn't claim to own the snake, in fact I believe he said it belonged to Randy. Not sure if he posted the same pic as you or not. I'm pretty sure it was the same snake however.

bluerosy Nov 09, 2006 12:47 AM

I took that pic back in '92 and posted it several times. Jeff has some snakes from Randy but nothing like this one.

Maybe not the same pic, but the same snake. It has an unusual snout pattern/color which makes it look snub-nosed.

Seen it before on this forum.

You probably saw it here as I posted it before.

Just to show you how slow I am today. After I posted, I realized that I have this same Pyro photo saved in my favorite photo's file and it's labeled as "low band count Pyro"! Go figure!
