amel X anery gives you normals so I'm not real sure what you want.
Pictures of anerys, amels or normals?

a couple of anerys maybe

i was just wondering what breeding a florescent orange amel. and an anery would look like. i just didnt know what would be produced by breeding the two, but you said they produced normals, so i guess you answered my question.

thanks

yep they would be normal het amel het anery unless the amel is het anery or the anery het amel.
That would change the outcome

sweet, because the male i have is the Amel., i got him from petland (suprisingly), he was the healthiest one, nice and fat but he also had some zig zags on him and i liked the color. the anery i found for sale on here and she is just goregous, now her i will call an aztec, just because its not just one single zig zag. but with them both having zig zags i cant wait to see if the babies will also inherret that trait.

heres a pic. of her.

That would change the outcome! To this......

so in the outcome some would be snows? if not thats still a couple goooooood lookin snakes!

cconstrictors Nov 08, 2006 08:40 PM

Yes, breeding your amel to your anery will produce normal looking double het for amel and anery or snow. If you then breed those offspring together you will get some normals, anerys, amels, and statistically 1 in 16 will be a snow.

well that sounds good. now the amel has some zig zag and the anery (from pics before) is covered in zig zag, would this trait also be passed to the offspring?

cconstrictors Nov 08, 2006 10:04 PM

Zigzag parents are more prone to throw zigzag offspring, but not always.Dont be surprised, you might get completly normal patterned babies

Zig-zag and other pattern abnormalities are not recessive. I am not sure that they are even genetic. There is a chance that your pairing will give you zigzags but don't be surprised if it doesn't.

Actually, those "snakes" are just one That is Hope and a baby picture of her. Actually that pic was taken about a year and a half ago when I got her. The "adult" pics are about 6 months old. She decided to grow up quick with very little help from me. She was actually pushing 34" on her 1 year birthday. She is a year and a half old now probably 37" and around 340 grams.

oh well even if i dont get zig zagz its not that big a deal, i just like snakes in general. so either way, as long as my male isnt sterile ill be fine with whatever i get.
