Bringing home a new addition on Friday

I'm adopting another BP because his family is moving across the country and for some reason can't take him. I wondered for how long should I quarantine him from interaction with my current BP, and how much distance should be between their tanks? Should they be in totally seperate rooms, or is a dozen or so feet apart ok?

seperate rooms. A minimum of three months is recomended and six months is better. Also, check for mites. If you have even the slightest suspicion of mites treat him. Hope that helps.
