Carefresh...?

phiber_optikx Nov 08, 2006 11:29 PM

I saw carefresh animal bedding while I was in the shop tonight. I had never seen it before but once I saw it I seemed to remember some people use it as substrate here? The label said "smells fresh longer" or something similar. Is it scented? Is it safe to use with reptiles? I liked the look of it and am sure it's easier to clean than carpet.... Any feedback posative or negative?

CareFresh is highly absorbent and controls odors. I add in a small amount to the pine shavings I use in my rodent bins. I have used it for some snakes that require lower humidity. If you use it for hatchlings make sure you always have water available. It can lead to dehydration. I don't really like to use it alone but others have and it does work well.
