Ok i rent from a fellow snake nerd, he has 24 snakes i have 18. he keeps/breeds the Canidoa Boa family, i obviously have kings. he produces crazy colored/patterend mice for his snakes, he doesnt like the albinos because they look "creepy" with their red eyes
so a while back i challenged him, that i could produce a cooler looking mouse then him, he is still winning, my "breeder" stock as dumb as that sounds is getting more diverse everyweek. i work in the pet industry so i can get some interesting mice from our fish whole salers. my manager came to me laughing because there were mice called "couch potato mice" which are genetically fat. so he order two just to see what they would look like and thought that i could put them into my rotation. so i got a pair and i was thinking that, when it comes down to it all the mice i breed get fed to snakes/frogs so i dont really wanna feed something with a huge fat content, other wise my snakes would get obese, and i defiantly dont want that. does this make sense that i wouldnt wanna feed these "genetic" mice off due to how fat they are, i am sure it would be a good treat every know and again for a gravid snake but that was just my thinking, any feed back would be appreciated
