Pyromelana Knoblachi?

cottonmouth111 Nov 10, 2006 02:04 AM

Has anyone here had experience with breeding these? Almost picked up a pair the other day...but it was $400(pair). I'm trying to talk the guy down and would like as much information as I could get. Thanks ahead of time.

Knoblochi are, on average, a very mellow, beautiful snake. Their care and breeding is identical to that of other mountain kings. They prefer slightly lower temps than other kings, and will often stop eating in the fall and winter whether you lower temps or not. They are lizard eaters in the wild, and it is often very difficult to get the hatchlings started on pinky mice. If you have the patience to work with difficult hatchlings, maybe knobs are for you. If you don't want to deal with it, get something else. $400 is a bit spendy for a breeding pair, $300 is more like it. Hatchlings go for around $100.

Good deal, thank you. I really would like to add those additions to my collection but I can't seem to pay $400. If he lowers it, then I'm sold. Thanks again for the info.
