high phosphorous levels? i am not really sure what is up with the vet. we got bloodwork done monday like almost two weeks ago and they still haven't told me the results.

lucia hasn't lost any weight, her eyes are not sunken in with the death look. she poops, not alot but she is on the critical care diet. the only thing is that she still cannot move well, she still is very jerky in her movements. tonight she is sleeping with her light off because i want to know if she will wake up and bask in the morning. right now it is always warm in there so she never leaves the hide. i wake her up and put her in the basking spot and she usually sits for a minute and then "scampers" back to the rock. she looks at me like i am an idiot when i pick her up, which she always has. she tries to get away if i have been holding her for a while.

but how can i get rid of the tremors? does that mean that her phosphorous is still high and if so, how can i get it lowered. i have had other lizards recently die of kidney problems, one was enlarged, and griff could not move well when he died

Below is a link from a Kidney /Urinary Specialist at Mayo clinic, now this is high phos in people, but I would think it works the same way.
Seems from what I understand, it stems from decreased kidney function (which you have been seeing.) It rarely comes from excess phosphorus or Vit D.

****What do you suppliment with, what brand?????? How much???

call me crazy and if i end up infecting them all then that is what i do but lucia was in the cage with them for weeks before i realized she had kidney problems and jolly and midge are fine.

i put lucia back in with her sisters. since then, she wakes up to bask. she will scamper around the cage, not very far but she doesn't just sit under her rock. the vet called and said her calcium went up and phos went down. she tried once to push her self up and walk and she has eaten wax worms enthusiastically on her own. she still isn't walking right but she is a much happier lizard since going back to her sisters.

i use bone aid. it has only calcium carbonate, no phos no D3. that is what i always used and then changed to that one with d3 that i used in WV. since alot of them were dying from mineralization, i have really cut down on the calcium. i used to give it like once or twice a week maybe more, depended alot on eggs/age. now i give it like every two weeks. there has been no toe twitching and the vet said lucia's calcium was never low, like it was in normal range. she just had high phos
