This is very sad news... wasn't he the guy from Berkley, CA, doing a lot of research on monitor lizards? How and when did he die? He will be sincerely missed on this forum.
My prayers go out to his family and friends,

So sorry, I just scrolled down and read the post on his passing. I haven't been on this forum for quite some time, so forgive me for not being informed. I will miss Mark greatly, he's been a lot of help to me and my raising of ornate monitors - I had a clutch of 19 eggs hatch out on Nov. 1, 2000 (one egg contained twins, T1 and T2) and I have one left to this day - Four Dots, aka Nessie. Mark told me that it was very rare for twins to hatch out of one egg and that this was a great accomplishment in captivity. He will be sorely missed...my condolences to his family.
