Colombian Rainbow Cage Setup

coluberking25 Nov 10, 2006 06:43 PM

Well I am continuing planning for this Colombian Rainbow Boa. Right now I'm thinking I want to put him in a naturalistic tropical setup with plastic plants and such. Anybody have pictures of their rainbow enclosures that they wish to share with me to give me some ideas? Thanks in advance

You might get a better response by posting this in the rainbow boa sub-forum.

Good luck with your CRB though! I am a big fan of the big, glowing brown beauties!

My setup is 40"x24"x18" (Approx 50gl)

This is an older setup from one of my Brbs. I quickly learned the waterfall is a very poor investment, even though it looks cool and increases humidity, the pump vibrations are no friend of the snakes.

As you see in this one, I used cypress on one end and moss on the other as substrate. I have since switched to repticarpet and keep a backup always cleaned so I can change them immediately with mess. I have used the same 2 pieces of repticarpet for 6 months now and you'd swear they are still new. I wash them once a week and they are holding great.

To me, making the setup is half of the fun of owning the snakes! Have fun with it!
