Hi Dustin,
I've noticed the same in the midwest. AFT's are very rarely seen. I feel they are a wonderful pet that few hobbiests have experienced. I'm working with an amel group and just love them. Good luck in your quest for fatties.

Hey there, I totally agree with you. I love my fatties. I currently have one regular, one amel, and one het for amel. Unfortunately they are all female. I am searching and searching for a male Amel, or even a het to start my breeding project. I am going to the show in Hamburg, PA in december. It is supposed to be huge, so I am hoping to find one there. I realize I could buy it online, but I have bad bad luck with that. Everytime I buy a reptile online, It is so stressed when I get it from the shipping that it becomes quite a task to get it to eat once again. Thanks for the reply, and lets get these people interested in Fatties!!

I keep two groups of regular AFTs (1.1 and 1.3) and one group of amel- see picture.
I enjoy them so much. I will be working with them this year and hope to share my AFTs with several other hobbiests.

That is one sexy Amel gecko you have there. Mine is not that high of an orange at all. Mine is more of a creamsicle color. I may be Albino rather than Amel. I will post a pic later.
