Some Feeding Experience

pezpunk Nov 10, 2006 09:39 PM

I've found that with my Dumeril she will unexpectedly stop feeding on rats and only feed on mice. Then one day she will go back to eating rats. Has anyone else experienced this?
I've learned to just relax when she doesn't eat and not worry, she'll eat eventually. If she hasn't eaten in awhile I will revert her to mice and she will always eat those. Does anyone else have to do this and does anyone think this would have a negative effect on her feeding habits?

My oldest female ball does that, but my Dum hasn't. I think it just boils down to the individual snake. I never had this problem in any other snakes that I have kept.

Good Luck!
