This is strictly out of curiosity, I have mixed thought on hybids and basicly there not my cup of tea, but I do find some of them interesting. Im not all out against them provided they are not allowed to be confused with pure animals.
Anyways with that said, we see all of these odd hybrids from time to time both in captivity as well as in the wild
cuban x american croc
cuban x siamese
siamese x saltwater
cuban x nile
siamese x morelet
nile x morelet
morelet x american croc
cuban x siamese x saltwater
spec caiman x yacare caiman
dwarf caiman x smoothfront caiman
etc ...
etc ...
I wonder if it would be possible to do crossings with animals such as, well I think it is possible .........
chinese alligator x american alligator
Spec caiman x broad-snout caiman
BUT what I really am curious about some really crazy crossing along the lines of: alligator x crocodile, alligator x caiman, crocodile x caiman, below are a couple examples ....
dwarf crocodile x dwarf caiman
chinese alligator x broad-snout caiman
american alligator x black caiman
american alligator x mugger crocodile
I have a friend that breeds cats and he has seen leopards breed with cougars but no babies were ever produced, I know servals have breed with some type of domestic cats and produced babies, lions with tigers and produced babies, etc ...
Dont worry im not planning to make any T-Rex's or anything, I have just been thinking a lot about DNA, genetics, hybrids and so forth, I would love to hear oppinions.
