Thanks Gr8snake,
I just picked up 1.1 06 Albino Sonorans and I plan to breed them in a couple of years. Excuse my ignorance but does that mean that they will be ready to breed in 08? Will I get all Albino or 50/50? Anyone?

I would actually wait until 3 years, as pits really need to be fully mature and big enough to handle the eggs. Females go thru a lot with egg laying.

How are the Albino Sonoran Gophers temperment? Are they a feisty snake?

DISCERN Nov 11, 2006 07:32 PM

It all depends on the individual snake. To my knowledge, from what others have said about theirs, and my experience with mine, they are calm and from what I have seen, sonorans overall are not as prone to be hissy as bulls or pines.

Thanks man! I know! That snake was the exact colors of an albino sonoran gopher that I had been looking for. My wife actually picked him out. The seller had about 10 adult albino sonorans for sale, and I had about settled on a pastel pinkish-red and yellow one, when my wife noticed this one that I had overlooked.

I had to ask him to repeat what he said when he said it was $50.

I could not believe it. It was one of those moments you will never forget picking up your dream snake at a snake show and for a great price.

One thing I absolutely love about albino sonorans is how vast they can be with coloring. You can have 10 babies in front of you and they all can look different.

Take care!
Billy

She puts up with me and the snakes. Out of respect, I only have 41 at this time instead of appr. 100 if I got everything I thought was pretty.

Billy, that Sonoran of yours really caught my eye. I hadn't seen any Albinos that resembled the baby I just picked up. I really like that combination of colors.
I just picked up a mate for it and will take delivery in December.

DISCERN Nov 13, 2006 04:04 PM

Oh yeah!! That one pictured is perfect! That would be a baby I would buy if I was looking for one!! He may resemble or be similar to my adult male.

I love that baby's stark red contrast!! Good pick!
