I am interested in photographing snakes in the wild. I found this snake on the Sierra Gorda highway just north of Queretaro, which I think could be a coral snake, but I wanted to ask for help in identifying it. Your snake appears to be a Micrurus tener fitzingeri, the southernmost subspecies of the Texas coralsnake. I have been doing field work in Queretaro and would be interested in talking with you further. Please check your PM.
