I am planning on building some melamine cages and was wondering the best way to heat them. I was planning on using 3/4 inch melamine for the bottom, putting the flexxwat under it and just making sure there was a 1/4 air gap. it just seems like the flexxwatt would have to get really hot to transfer heat through the melamine if it even did. I was also wondering about putting the flexxwatt inside the cage and putting a sheet of something on top of it like a sheet of glass or plexiglass? Please help me out here. thanks
