a female can lay 2 eggs in a clutch. They can lay between 6 and 12 clutches a season. Cluthes usually come 2 weeks to a month apart, 2 weeks being a good average.

what do i do with my eggs if i do not want them

geeboo Aug 07, 2003 12:49 PM

well if you don't have a freind that wants them I guess just toss them in the trash. They are really to delicate to ship or anything. If you do not have a male in with your female they will be infertile anyhow. Don't you want to hatch babys? Just wondering everybody else does.

you are right

Are you keeping a male and female together? If you can, try to prevent the female from getting pregnant. Eggs put a lot of strain on the female's body, and overworking her that way can shorten her lifespan.

how am i to prevent this i only have one tank or i probably should just get one male anyways because they are the longer of the two and could you possibly help me find a breeder in my area that i live in i live in Fayetteville AR if so thanx alot
