End of the season...

jfirneno Nov 12, 2006 12:33 PM

Well, the ratsnakes are in the basement and in a week or two the heat will be off for their winter nap. So what's left to do but look back and look forward. I'll evaluate what I did and didn't accomplish and plan what I want to accomplish next year.

And as a communal activity we can review the pictures and stories from the year. If anyone's in the mood humor me by posting your favorite shots from the past year.

Here's mine

Regards
John

As I need a new camera before I attempt any post-worthy shots. But please keep me in mind when your produce your Mandarins. I'll be looking for a nice pair of Sichuan's in the spring/summer.
Good-luck John, and nice pics.

you posted earlier were plenty good for me. But everything's relative. My best shots don't compare with the worst pictures that a real shutterbug produces but I don't let that stop me. If I think the snake is worth showing I'll post it (sometimes with a disclaimer about the quality of the photo). I'd just like to review all the great photos in one place. It's sort of a tradition on these forums.

John

Well, I don't have many stories to tell but I will say I had a decent year breeding and hope to do even better next season especially with my bairdis.
I have a few photos that I took during '06 that I really like and will post a few of them.
I will probably split them up into several posts and I hope no one minds if I post a few of my favorite non-snake photos, too.

Let's start with a couple shots of one of my bairds rat snakes, Elrond and a shot of a mini iris that was growing in my yard.

didn't you send me a picture like the one I posted?
If I can find it I will post it.
You need to post a few of those pictures you sent me recently.
Like that yellow rat above. You pic number 0015, I think it was.
That was a great picture of the yellow.
You also need to post that bairdi shot that I cropped for you. That was a great shot.
