well gratings and hello from the new guy, and now about my Lizards.
I am currently begining the proces of breeding Emerald Swifts, so far, I have been quite unsuccesful at finding a female. Since there quite un common on the pet trade since the allot more uglier than the male. The male has bright blue strips on his crest and belly, he has a teal tail, and bright green body. The female is well colar less, she has no black collar like the male, and no blue stripes, she's just plain brown all over.
I even tried to order the Lizards from the pet shop's provider. They sent me another male. Now all the guides I read says males are extremly terrotorial, so I was sceptical when bothing both together. supprisingly, they haven't even done nothing. But the new lizard seems to reserve his terrotorial pushups to me. He borrows his snount and flings the sand at me. But he shows all these terrotorial signs when I'm a arround, and heflings it at me wile looking at me. (and he's quite good with his sand ammo.)
Is this normal for two males to never fight, the sleep on the same branch, seems quite uncommon.
The new one is quite more active, when he get's picked up and blows himself up like a ballon, he borows himsel under the dirt. The other reallyjust sits on a rock all day and eats crickets.
If I do get females what would you recomend, would the two males fight, since i Am intending to ge two females. But I guess since they don't fight for terretory so should they fight for females. The terrarium is 50gallons so it's pretty large.
Anyhow, I have a small web sectiob contaning pictures.
I love the Emerald swift, they are mighty asy to maintain, just lots of heat and 40% humidity.
