Hello, everyone was wondering what the average weight for a red eyed adult tree frog is? Thanks Matt
Good question! They are usually about 2 1/2 to 3 inches long. They are normally slender but not skinny, of course in captivity they tend to be a little fatter than the wild.
I don't know the answer to your question but I do know the weight of my RETF. I got this recently and because I wasn't sure how well it was feeding I thought I would weigh it to see if it is going up or down. I think it is a male as I thought I saw it inflating its vocal pouch one night.
Here are the specs: s/v length- 44 mm weight- 6.97 grams
That is about 1/4 ounce. It does not look fat or too skinny. If you have any figures I would be interested in knowing them. Thanks!
