What am I?

reptileszz Nov 12, 2006 06:33 PM

Hi there, I bred a het for blood red male to a hypo POSSIBLE het for blood red female this past summer. Only got 3 eggs as most of them went bad whilst I was away.

I thought it would be more obvious what I was looking at here. Is this hypo or blood red? the other two look fairly "normal" but pretty leading me to believe they are sort of hypo (dad is pretty hypo altho not purchased as such.)

Thanks!
Carole

Judging from that belly, i would say blood. What does his head look like?

I dont have any pics of his head at this moment. But I didnt think it looked as gray as the ones i saw on like cornutopia or serpenco. It is gray but not that gray if that makes any sense.

Thanks!
Carole

PS I am holding him back to see how he turns out.

is there any motley in the mix? I have a hypo motley that looks similar. It is hard to see the head from the angle of the pic. If there is no motley choice, I would have to lean more toward the blood. Normals do not have white bellies and hypos have light checkers.

Hi, no motley that I know of. The male in question is 13 years old and came to me as a het for blood red. The female I bought as a "hypo, het for ghost, possible het for bloodred, caramel and stripe". She was as close as I could get to a het for bloodred locally. I think this MIGHT prove she is het for bloodred. I guess I will just have to wait and find out.

I will try and get a better pic of the head for you all today.

Thanks!
Carole

I will try and get better pics. This snake is super jumpy and trying to get it to sit even a little still is rather difficult. I also have to get him/her and the sibling to a bigger enclosure!
