cactus pairs for sulcatas and redfoots?

i just picked up something called a cactus pair at the supermarket. are they ok to feed to sulcatas and redfoots? i would think it should be fine, but wanted to check before i feed it to them...i would think it should be cut open and cleaned since it has prickers. thanks!
