I return with a somewhat silly question

Crotaphytuskidd Nov 13, 2006 12:19 AM

Hello friends,

Its been a long while since I have posted anything on here, and I just wanted to let ya'll know I still live. Had a great herping year, I'll have to show you guys some of the stuff I was blessed to see. ; )

On to my question:
Is it normal for a yearling male Chuck to be agressive with a yearling female Chuck? I have a little male who exhibits intimidation to the female when she is around, and it concerns me a bit. As of now, they're down for the winter, but I've never seen a captive-raised Chuck act like this before. I just want to be prepared on their revival. thanks you guys!

kind regards,
-Phil

at least what I have seen. She should keep him at bay if she is close to the same size but it can stress the female. This is one of the main reasons I like to keep 2 females with one male. It makes him have to divide his attention. Tom
