El Salvador, breeder question, nice pics

manos Nov 13, 2006 04:44 AM

I've been looking for true El Salvadorian boas, since I bought a pair of "El Salvadors" a few month ago.
The papers that followed the pair, stated that the original group was imported by a british guy from London named John Payne, I haven't been able to find any info on this guy.
Anyone out there who's heard of him?

Anyway this is the pair:
male

female

I've been lookign for El Salvadors for awhile, and haven't found any in the US. If those two produce let me know.

Hi,
I have chatted to John quite a few times about these boas and other animals in his collection. He is a nice guy. However, to my knowledge he no longer keeps these boas. he sold his two pairs of breeding adults a year or two back. I believe most went to Europe. I can get his email address for you if you want.

I think you're right, part of the group were bought at a swedish expo by a dane. One female was due and gave birth to a healthy litter, and I had first picks...

Thanks for replying,I'm so happy to be able to track down the lineage.
Please send me his e-mail.
Best regards

I haven't found anyone in the US that has normal (non blood boa morphed). The only person that I know of that has El Salvadors in Europe is Hermann Stoekl.

Very true. Europe has a lot of hidden locality bloodlines. I believe there still are some nebulosa around over there. I've talked to a few German breeders who used to work with nebulosa and orophias and sold their stock to others in Europe.

With that said, there are a LOT of boas that make their way over there with very shady history, and it is hard to validate locale.

All the better they get somewhere where their safe.
They do things much different over there and rare stuff is kept from the greedy American(not exactly their true opinions of us in the USA)but negitive none the less.
