All your snakes are really nice. Smart move with the Deppei. People I speak with always mention that these are easy to keep, and they certainly can be. One downfall I see is that many snakes that fall ill can recover faster when some extra heat is added. This in my experience is not a good thing to do for Deppei. That snake has no yellow on it at all? It is very cool looking, I look forward to a Ghost Deppei someday, the the normals are quite stunning too. Tom Stevens

many Thanks Tom

I understand exactly where your coming from on the deppei deppei.I tend to prefer to let them grow slow but steadily.I have never been nor ever will be a follower of the power feeding ideal.Personally i rkn in the wild situation most species would not grow as rapid as in captive set ups,due to lack of readily available food.Maybe thats just me.

Theres no yellow on that snake at all,it totally different from any of the other deppei deppei i own or have seen.
I have many varied and different normals but they all have some yellow visible.

Great deppei, where did that one come from? I have a female het for hypo deppei deppei that I am looking to pair up with a hypo male eventually.

Hi Ian

Cheers for the comms.

That snake was hatched by me from my original Lloyd Lemke stock.
To shorten a long story,i used a 1 of my males to a female i never bred with him before and that aner popped out in a clutch of normals.I just put it down to pure luck!
Good luck with the Hypos.

Hi Ian,

To be honest ive sorta kept quiet about that aner deppei,so your the first on any list i create for sure.

Theres not a lot of people here in the U.K. with a clue about pituophis really.Probably count them all on one hand.In fact i still have stunning hatchling hypos and deppei jani yearlings to sell !!.

Hi Scott,

The Ghost deppei sounds interesting for sure.
Once i breed from the aner and its siblings,i guess ill have to look into obtaining some hypos.Maybe ill need to arrange something with one of the many U.S. breeders who are now attending The biggest herp show in the world (yep bigger than NRBE) in Hamm ,Germany.
Its much easier for me to get animals back to England from Europe than it was from Florida.

Im hoping to breed my Aner annectans with the hypo to create Ghost annectans also.

Cheers ........AL

Good luck with your projects. That is definitely one show that I would love to attend.
