The "unknown" Tortoise

andystorts Nov 13, 2006 05:52 PM

Here's the deal, I got this tortoise as a 'unknown' tortoise, I truely thought it was a Greek, That was my best guess anyways, well anyways, I've had people calling me and telling me its a marginated, some think its a egyptian, its about 3-4" Straight line....Anyone have any ideas?

He's definately a Greek tortoise Andy. His parents were from the Middle East, Syria most likely.

Andy,
it is absolutley 100% a subspecies of Greek Tortoise...I don't know who would ever think it was a Marginated or Egyptian...

Dan's probably right although I do have some T. graeca ibera that look a lot like it.

Andy,

This looks like a light phase T. graeca ibera.
