UPDATED pics of our SUNBURST PASTEL's

rkreptiles Nov 14, 2006 12:21 PM

Here are a couple of updated pics of our SUNBURST Pastels. These are the new Pastel crosses we produced this season. These are so hard to capture in pics. I tried outside in different amounts of light but nothing still shows their true beauty. Their coloration is so super bright orange and yellow it is unbelievable. They are also turning white on their sides much like a "sugar" or "calico" We are preparing to breed the same pairing that produced these again this season as well as hopefully will be breeding the cross male to some females (if he cooperates and gets large enough in time). Let me know what everyone thinks.

Tom,

The one pictured in my hand is the Cross male. The other female is in deep shed (you can barely see her in the first pic in the upper right corner). She is my favorite and the largest of the three of them. Her cage got mixed up with the male's cage when they were a little younger and she was being power fed instead of him. She is almost double his size now.

We are keeping the mother (and the 3 male offspring that are like mom from the clutch) on the secret side until this coming season. I will be breeding the same pairing and should be able to release the info on the mom and the offspring (and hopefully have some available for sale) then.

So do you think the mother is of something that is already out there or just trying to build suspense?

We believe that she is something different than what is out there now but feel that there needs to be more breeding to gather more information regarding her genetics.
